Boat ride
Negro river, one of the Pantanal jewels. Naturally protected, the river is located between two huge swamps, and the navigation is only accessible to the region farms.
Known by the most beautiful pantaneiro river, it has no cities or villages on the riverbanks, guaranteeing privacy and contact with all the Pantanal wonderful nature.
The dry and wet season in Pantanal offers different experiences on boat tours at Barra Mansa. When the waters go up (wet season - december to june), Negro river throws water on vazantes fields, lagoons (baías) and open land areas, providing impressive and beautiful tours amid aquatic plants, hundreds of fish, caimans, otters and giant otters, over an immense amount of birds. At the dry season (july to november), when the waters come back to the river, come out riverbanks and white sandy beaches, perfect for pleasant swims in the pure Negro waters. There you find birds like storks, egrets, herons, kingfishers, curassows, skimmers, hawks and plenty other families, all of them with massive diversity of species. You may find also animals like capybaras, peccaries, tapirs and, with luck, a magnificent jaguar. Boat tours are mainly done with electric motor, more silent and appropriate for wildlife appreciation. The fuel engine is useful for fishing activities and tours up the river. Calm and slow, the river fits as a refuge for the enormous fauna that was benefit by the remoteness of the region. Along the beaches and riverbanks from Negro river, you will find the perfect place to rest and feel pantanal exuberant and incredible nature.
Canoeing
Canoes tours are the best option for those who want direct and intense contact with the world of water and nature from Pantanal. After the wet season, vazantes crystal waters invites for delicious swims and short divings, where you can see an enormous fish and aquatic plant diversity, over caimans and sting rays swimming slowly under the canoes. Canoeing down the river is calm, quiet and peaceful, allowing the visitor to get really close to birds and animals, hearing the sounds of nature. Best are the chances to be surprised by the wildlife near the river. These chances get higher when the canoeing tours happen at the sunrise. Canoeing up the river offers more adventure and excitement, and fits to compensate the great quantity of the traditional pantaneira gastronomy, which is delicious. The canoes are up to 03 persons, light and easy to paddle. Do not need advanced experience, can be done with no age limit.
Hiking
The hiking trails are done on the outskirts of the farm, surrounded by typical pantanal vegetation, like cordilheiras, capões, vazantes and cerrados, allowing you to know a variety even bigger of animals and plants from pantanal.
